quartet dutemps is a chamber ensemble from Lawrence, Kansas that is dedicated to playing and premiering contemporary works. The group consists of Madeline Echternacht, clarinet, Jacob Herling, violin, Zach Ward, cello, and Veerle Winkelmolen, piano. The quartet's 2025 concert series in Kansas focused on Messiaen's Quatuor pour la fin du temps. The group performed at The Juilliard School in July 2025, including a world premiere. In February of 2026 the quartet collaborated with renowned soprano Lucy Shelton on a residency and performance of Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire and other contemporary chamber works.
